Holland America Line Embarkation Changes and Sailing Date Change Policy
Updated May 8, 2020 - The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has issued an extended “no-sail” order for cruise ships operating out of U.S. ports that will remain in effect through July 14, 2020. This supersedes previous suspension of operations notices.

To give you peace of mind and keep you confident in the transformative power of travel, they have enacted new short-term cancellation policies for cruise bookings that sail through October 15, 2020.
You can cancel your cruise for any reason and receive a Future Cruise Credit in the amount of you have paid to Holland America Line. Some restrictions apply.
Cruises Departing Between September 1–October 15, 2020
- You may cancel your booking no less than 30 days prior to sailing
For new bookings made by August 31, 2020 on cruises departing September 1–October 15, 2020, you must complete the following to receive your Future Cruise Credit:
- Cancel your booking
- Submit Book with Confidence Form to request your Future Cruise Credit
- Receive email notification that your Future Cruise Credit has been applied in approximately two weeks
How To Redeem Your Future Cruise Credit
Once your Future Cruise Credit has been applied to your account, you have until December 31, 2021 to book another cruise (departing on or before December 31, 2022) using the credit. To make your new booking, please call your PERX travel consultant.
Terms & Conditions
The Book with Confidence offer (“Offer”) is available on bookings made on or before August 31, 2020 for Holland America Line cruises sailing on or before October 15, 2020 (“Eligible Cruise”). For new bookings only made between March 1, 2020 and August 31, 2020, for Holland America Line cruises sailing between September 1, 2020 and October 15, 2020, consumers can cancel up to 30 days before the Eligible Cruise’s departure and the consumer will receive a Future Cruise Credit ("FCC") equal to the amount of the non-refundable portion of their cancellation fees (subject to verification). The value of the FCC will be determined by the actual non-refundable cancellation fees for the Eligible Cruise’s booking. Cancellation Protection Plan or Platinum Cancellation Protection Plan premiums and reimbursed amounts shall not be included in the value of the FCC. Consumers cancelling Eligible Cruises departing September 1, 2020 through October 15, 2020 must visit https://book2.hollandamerica.com/bwc/ and fill out the form with all requested information at least 30 days before the departure date of the Eligible Cruise. Once verified and processed, the FCC will be applied to the consumer’s Mariner number. If consumer does not have a Mariner number, Holland America Line will create a Mariner number for the consumer. Consumer must use the FCC by December 31, 2021 or it will be forfeited in its entirety. FCC is only valid on cruises sailing through December 31, 2022. FCC may be subject to additional terms and conditions as provided by Holland America Line and may not be used for deposits, taxes, fees, or port expenses, or CPP/CPPP. The value of the FCC and the Offer are non-transferrable, are not redeemable for cash, and have no cash value. May not be combined with any other offers. Offer may be modified or withdrawn without prior notice. Any promotion or offer available during or with the Eligible Cruise booking shall not apply to the subsequent booking. May be subject to additional terms and conditions.
