On January 12, 2021, The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued an Order requiring all air passengers arriving to the US from a foreign country to get tested no more than 3 days before their flight departs and to present the negative result or documentation of having recovered from COVID-19 to the airline before boarding the flight. This Order will go into effect at 12:01am EST (5:01am GMT) on January 26, 2021. Test required: NAAT/PCR or Antigen.
As part of health and safety measures, Omni Cancun Hotel & Villas, will be offering free COVID-19 antigen tests; and PCR tests at an additional cost. The program will launch on January 23rd, and for guest comfort, the test will be available at the at the resort. Guests are able to schedule the appointment upon check-in. In the unlikely event that a guest tests positive for COVID-19, they will receive a discounted nightly rate of $15usd per person, per night (plus taxes), while they quarantine for the required 14 days.
